*Illustrative range only, not a quote for your specific car. VIN decoding runs live against the federal NHTSA vehicle database.

Three steps. That's the whole process.

No inspections you have to schedule twice, no "we'll call you back." Here's exactly what happens after you hit submit.

01

Tell us about the car

ZIP code, year, make, model, and condition. Thirty seconds, no VIN required to get started.

02

Get a firm number

We price against live salvage and resale data. The offer you see is the offer you get — not a lowball we renegotiate at pickup.

03

We tow it, you get paid

Pick a pickup window that works for you. Our driver hands you payment on the spot and takes the car — running or not.

Why people sell to Atlanta Junk Car Service instead of listing it themselves

Private-party sales sound better until you're the fifth person to no-show a buyer meetup. Here's the trade-off, plainly.

We take the ones nobody wants to haggle over.

Blown engine, flood damage, missing title, three years of parking-lot dings — condition doesn't disqualify you. If it's a car, we'll make an offer on it.

No fees taken out of your offer

Towing, paperwork, and pickup are on us. The number we quote is the number you're handed.

Local pickup crews, not a call center

Drivers in your area handle scheduling directly, so pickup windows are realistic, not aspirational.

What actually moves your number

Most quote tools just ask year and make. Here's what really swings a junk car's price — and a quick calculator so you can see it for yourself.

Catalytic converter

On anything built after 2000, this is usually the single biggest wildcard in the whole car. A common four-cylinder cat might scrap for around $150; certain trucks and hybrids carry converters worth $800 or more because of the platinum, palladium, and rhodium packed inside. Tell us the year, make, and model and we can identify roughly what yours is carrying.

Make and model

Some brands hold resale and parts value better than others — Toyota and Honda tend to sit near the top, while less parts-demanded makes lean more on scrap weight than resale demand. The calculator below uses a rough per-make baseline; your firm offer uses actual current demand for that specific model.

Year and mileage

Newer cars carry more usable parts value; older cars get priced mostly by scrap weight. Mileage matters most on cars that still run — an 80,000-mile car and a 250,000-mile car of the same year can land in very different places.

Condition

A car that runs, drives, and can be inspected on the spot routinely brings in multiple times what a non-runner of the same year and make gets. The calculator applies a flat condition multiplier; a real offer accounts for the finer detail — won't start versus starts-but-won't-shift, for example.

Local scrap-metal market

Steel, aluminum, and copper prices set the floor under every offer, and they move day to day. A ballpark calculator can only use a national average — a real offer checks current regional pricing, which is why a firm number can land noticeably above or below a quick estimate.

Title status

A clean title gets the full number. Salvage or rebuilt titles typically bring it down. No title at all can still work in many states, but it's usually the lowest tier — our team will tell you exactly where you stand for Georgia before you commit to anything.

What sellers say after pickup

Real feedback from people who sold their car to us.

"The offer on the phone was the offer the driver actually paid. Gave me what I when I really needed the cash"

— C. Parker, Marietta, GA

"Car hadn't run in two years and just sitting in my yard causing issues with HOA. Still had a lien so I thought it would be a problem. They sorted the title stuff for me and I was still able to get cash"

— R. Jenkins, Decatur, GA

"Scheduled a pickup for the next morning, driver was on time and professional with cash in hand before the tow bar came down. Smoothest transaction ever"

— O. Sule, Chamblee, GA

Common questions

Do I need the title to sell my car?

In most states, yes — but requirements vary, and a missing title usually isn't a dead end. Tell us your situation when you request an offer and we'll walk you through what's needed for your state.

Does the car have to run?

No. We buy running cars, cars with mechanical problems, wrecked or totaled vehicles, and cars that won't start at all.

When do I actually get paid?

At pickup. The driver who tows the car pays you directly — there's no waiting on a mailed check or a bank transfer to clear.

Is the towing really free?

Yes, anywhere in the metro Atlanta area, regardless of where the car is located or whether it can be driven onto the tow truck.

How is my offer calculated?

We weigh current scrap and salvage pricing against resale demand for your specific year, make, model, and condition — so the number reflects what your car is actually worth today, not a flat per-pound rate.
